Adjunct Faculty – Biomedical Engineering – Storrs Campus

The UConn Biomedical Engineering Department (BME) seeks academically and professionally qualified instructors to serve as adjunct faculty in the Clinical Engineering Internship Program. We are looking for instructors to teach the Graduate courses BME 5040, Medical Instrumentation in the Hospital and BME 5050 Engineering Problems in the Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MS Degree in Engineering.
  • 5 Years’ experience in the Clinical Engineering department of a major healthcare provider.
  • Experience teaching courses at the Graduate Level.
  • Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degrees or Certifications related to Clinical Engineering.
  • Experience developing and teaching graduate level courses online.

Appointment Terms

This is a temporary position for a period of one semester, with the possibility of extension dependent upon program needs and available funding. Courses are taught online.
