The Waterbury Campus seeks an academically and professionally qualified instructor to serve as an adjunct faculty in the area of Public Health starting in Fall 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities
PUBH3001 Introduction to Epidemiology
Provides overview of epidemiological concepts and methods for examining the distribution and causes of health and illness across populations. Stresses the application of epidemiology in advancing health research, disease prevention efforts, and medical care delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned Master’s degree and teaching experience in relevant field (e.g., public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, social/behavioral sciences).
Preferred Qualifications
An earned Ph.D. degree with at least six semesters of teaching experience at the college level.
Appointment Terms
This is a temporary position for a period of one semester, with the possibility of extension dependent upon program needs and available funding. Courses are taught in person at the UConn Waterbury campus. Compensation for these positions will be $2,062 per credit, $6,186 per 3-credit course, or $8,248 per 4-credit course. Adjuncts are permitted to teach up to eight credits per semester.
