New Employee Orientation

There are a few things you’ll need to do in your first month of employment and beyond your first day.

You First Month

Join us for New Employee Orientation where you will learn about this great institution of higher education and all about what it is like to work at UConn.

New Employee Orientation (NEO) is for new, regular payroll employees. New adjunct faculty and employees on special payroll are not included in New Employee Orientation due to differing employment obligations and benefits. Please contact HR at hr@uconn.edu.

Part Two of Orientation
Complete the New Employee Policy Review form in Kuali Build – UConn’s online, self-service document tool.

Watch for an email from Kuali Build within two weeks of hire date with a link to review and sign the policy form.

Please complete within 5 business days of receiving the email.

Where is NEO held?
NEO is held in person on the Storrs Campus. Location will vary, but will be included on your invitation to NEO.

Employees should work directly with the department to coordinate completion of the I-9 form.

Fully completed Form I9’s should be shared electronically via One Drive to the following link: Upload Completed Forms to the Payroll Forms Upload Center
